Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pocketed mobile application and related services (the "Service"), provided by Pocketed, operated by Pocketed Financial LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Pocketed. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your account

You sign in through a third-party identity provider (such as Apple or Google). You are responsible for maintaining the security of that identity account and for all activity under your Pocketed account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

3. The Service

Pocketed lets you scan receipts, connect financial accounts through Plaid, optionally import receipt emails, and track what your purchases cost over time. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may set limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service.

4. Financial account connections

When you connect a financial account, you authorize Pocketed and our provider Plaid to access information from that account on your behalf. Your use of bank connections is also subject to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. You can disconnect an account or revoke access at any time in the app or via the Plaid Portal.

5. Subscriptions & payments

Pocketed offers optional paid subscriptions. Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and managed via RevenueCat. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel through your App Store account settings. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. Not financial advice

Pocketed provides informational tools only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and you should not rely on it as a substitute for professional advice. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access accounts or data that are not yours, interfering with or disrupting the Service, reverse-engineering it except as permitted by law, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the receipts, images, and data you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, including via the service providers described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data imported from third parties will always be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pocketed and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete All My Data. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, through in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
